About Us

What does A.M.P.T. stand for?

A.M.P.T. is an acronym for the names Alvarado-Maye, Pierce, and Taylor. The business was born with support and encouragement of those whose last name was used to create A.M.P.T. We initially considered “M.A.P.T.” We are grateful that the name wasn’t available. “Get M.A.P.T,” just isn’t quite as fun to say.

What does your slogan, "Profit from Progress, Not Pain" mean?

We were discussing the business and the services we wanted to provide, and the “Maye” member made the statement “I am not interested in exploiting anyone’s pain.” We believe that it is possible to sustain a profitable business without exploiting those we are trying to serve. Are our services free? Absolutely not. Do we aim to be fair? Absolutely. We do hope and plan to provide free services surrounding financials in the future.

Schedule an Appointment:

Where can I schedule an appointment?

At the top of every page, you will see “Schedule an Appointment.” There is also a button on the home page for you to schedule an appointment. You can also call (302) 406-0893, reach us on What’s App, or Facebook (www.facebook.com/ruampt).

How can I schedule an in person appointment?

Unfortunately, we do not accept walk-ins. Please view the “Contact Us” page prior to scheduling your appointment, and provide us with at least three dates and three times you are available. We will respond as quickly as possible to get you scheduled. It is imperative that you keep your scheduled appointment. We do to have to book meeting rooms in advance, which we do pay for. We do not want to pass those fees on to you for a no call no show. We ask that you wear a mask unless you have proof of obtaining a vaccination, and that you let us know if you’re bringing any other parties with you.

What should I bring to the appointment?

Please visit the “Schedule an Appointment” page, and click on the words directly beneath “Prepare for your appointment.” If you’re not certain what documents to bring, it would be in your best interest to provide all of the tax documents in your possession for the respective tax year..

Do we have to do a Zoom meeting?

A zoom meeting is not mandatory.  It is perfectly acceptable for you to upload your documents via the share documents button on the home page. When you select the button, a page will appear in a separate window for you to securely upload your documents. If you would prefer a one on one, a zoom meeting is a great way to meet while following the distance and safety guidelines that have been in place due to the global pandemic. During the meeting, we will discuss your paperwork, dependents, and go over any
documents we didn’t receive prior to the meeting. We will do our best to provide consistent reminders.  Please let us know in advance whether you need to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
